Paper Crafts Book Review: Party Ensembles (Paper-crafted fun to make any gathering more festive)

Hello Crafty Friends! I recently purchased a Paper Crafts Magazine Book by Leisure Arts and thought I would share with you all my thoughts.  

I love this book! It's 288 pages, has a CD included at the back with free downloads and is organized into events such as Life, Themes and Holidays and Seasons.  I think that most of us crafters are party planners too and love adding extra detail to our parties and that's why I love this book so much. It contains lots of ideas on adding that special touch to your event. There are banners, favours, invitations, menu cards, bottle wraps, cupcake wraps, cupcake toppers, napkin wraps and much more!

Mother's Day card and Badge Pin

Can you believe Mother's Day is coming up?  If my baby girl is born on time, this will be my very first Mother's Day, which I am very excited about! Although she will be only a few weeks old and will probably have to stay in the house, I am just over the moon happy that I will have a baby girl in my arms and my awesome husband by my side.

This week A Jillian Vance Design is releasing a new stamp set. And for today's post, I am sneaking this new set!  I created two of the same cards with slight modifications to give to my mom and mother-in-law, so you will get to see two stamps....lucky you! I used one of my favourite AJVD Spellbinder Dies, {die}namic Duo to stamp my sentiments inside.

I also created an adorable Mother's Day badge by using the Ribbons and Rosette's cartridge and adhering a pin to the back!

Charming Occasions  is designed around our {die}lightfully Charming Circle die or it will also fit a 1  1/2 circle punch.  They celebrate Everyday Occasions!

{die}lightfully Charming Circle Die coordinates with our Charming Occasions Stamp set.  You can also use any of the stamp sets that coordinate with the Epiphany Crafts Round 25 shape such as A {Little} Love and Type Star Font Stamp sets.

Whimsical Journey

Mini Whimsical Balloons

These two Hot Air Balloon Stamp coordinate with Emerald Cut {die}mond Nested Die set and the sentiments fit the {die}namic Duo also.  On the Mini Whimsical Balloon set, the bottom right hand corner image is a Make Your Own Balloon (check out Bunny's Card yesterday)! Just add a 2 inch circle and that small line to create your own balloon.  Or make it 3D by adding three circles layered together.  Just two FUN sets!  That fit a variety of occasions!

Everyday Flags

This stamp set coordinates with{die}licious Flag Set,  see those dotted lines around the flag stamps?  Those are  die placement lines.  You center your die within those lines and it should cut perfectly ~ we use removable tape to hold it in place. and those words will fit with the flag folded in half.  Also the icons will fit the Endless Borders stamp set shown below! and also the Epiphany Crafts Round 14 as well as in the circles of the Flags.

Coordinates with Everyday Flags Stamp set and can be used soooo many ways!  Add the pole for a flatter layer or use a tooth pick or a stick pin from the jewelry making department.  Or fold over twine or ribbon to create a banner or use as it for a sentiment lay which a lot of our previous stamp sets fit!

This was designed to be connected for how ever long you need, so the extra icons were added.

Stamp Sneak Peeks Day 4

Welcome to Day 4 of Stamp Sneak Peek's for A Jillian Vance Design!  Today we are sneaking a peek of two sets, Whimsical Journey and Mini Whimsical Balloons.

I am in no way a "colourer", so I just grabbed some gel pens and started scribbling away, and I did have some fun! It does make me consider copics! Instead of having to colour in the clouds, I stamped them on blue cardstock and then cut around them.

Stamp Sneak Peeks Day 3

Hi Everyone and Welcome to Say 3 of Sneak Peek's for A Jillian Vance Design Stamps! I hope you have been enjoying the projects so far.  Today we are using a set called Everyday Flags with a co-ordinating die called {die}licious Flag Set.

I've created a Birthday card.  The great thing about these stamps is that they can be used for cards, layouts, but even as cupcake toppers and little mini banners. The dotted outline that you see is actually not meant to be part of the stamp, but rather a marker for where to use your flag die...but i love the dotted line so much I just had to keep it there!

The inside of my card also has a sneak peak of a new set, Endless Borders!
