Winnie the Pooh Baby Banner

My First time using  Winne The Pooh Font cartridge and it resulted in a banner!  A co-worker of mine was hosting a baby shower for her niece and of course I just had to ask “So, what’s her theme?”.  When I found out it was Winnie, I just had to make use out of my cartridge and volunteered to make a banner for her party.  The name of the baby was already known so the content of the banner was easy.  When presented to my co-worker, she loved it!

Supplies:
Cricut Winnie the Pooh Font cartridge
Cricut Martha Stewart All Occasions Cake Art cartridge
DCVW All About Boys Paper Stack
Recollections cardstock in purple, yellow, brown, black, orange, red and pink
Recollections 3-D foam squares
Colorbox Chalk Ink
Purple Ribbon
Divine Twine in Lemon

Hi Everyone!
Cross My Heart Papercrafts and Nadia's Beautiful Mess are hosting a Lucky Charm Blog Hop in honor of St. Patrick's Day on March 17, 2011.  Instead of traditionally hand selecting bloggers, we've decided to give everyone a fair chance at participating in this one, since our last one was a hit!
We have decided to pick the first 10 bloggers to email us wanting to participate.  If you are interested in participating in this fabulous blog hop, please send an e-mail to me at nadiaspapertrail@yahoo.com with your name, blog address and Facebook name so that we can add you to our Facebook group. We will update this post to let you know once we have reached 10 bloggers each.
Thank you :)

February 23, 2011 - Update:  Thank you everyone who e-mailed me to participate in the blog hop!  Spots are no longer available, they filled up pretty quickly! Giselle and I will be hosting more blog hops in the future so for those of you who weren't able to participate, there will be more opportunities in the future!

In the meantime, make sure you hop along with us for the Lucky Charm blog hop on St. Patrick's Day!

{Craft Room} Imagine Station

Today I thought I would share with everyone what I have finally decided to rest my Imagine on. I struggled for so long on deciding the perfect piece of furniture.  I am super happy with my final choice.  Slowly but surely, I will soon have a craft room and I will share that transformation with you all on my blog.  I'm aiming for a soft, romantic room with french inspiration and colours of black, white, pink, maybe even gray!

The Imagine sits on the top perfectly.  I put the furniture on an angle so that there is enough clearance in the back when the mat goes through the machine.

There are three drawers and cartridges fit perfectly in here!  You can fit approximately 30 cartridges in each drawer and in the top one I also managed to fit in mats, extra ink replacements and blade refills.

Second and third drawers contain more cartridges, wires, cricut markers, etc.

The drawer originally came with black knobs for the handles, but I was anxious to replace them with pretty, girly crystal knobs and my husband did just that for me. I love it!

For those of you who are interested, I purchased this chest station at IKEA.  It is called the KOPPANG 3 Drawer Chest.  Picture from IKEA is below:

You've Got My Heart (Valentines Card)

As some of you may or may not know, my mother was diagnosed with Breast Cancer a few weeks ago. This is the reason why I haven't had time to do any crafting and haven't really been in the mood to craft either. She had a mastectomy only 1 week ago and is already bouncing around. That being said, my hubby and I have been staying at her house, cooking, cleaning, just spending time with her.  I did manage to squeeze in a quick card while quickly returning home to wash clothes and such. Here's what I came up with:

Supplies:
Kraft, Baby Blue, Black, Brown, Cream, baby Pink and Dark Pink cardstock
Martha Stewart Seasonal Valentine paper stack
K & Co. Chipboard by Kelly Panacci
Cricut Simply Charmed cartridge
Cricut Just Because cartridge
EK Success Punch
Rhinestone Accents - Treasures by Shabby Chic
Stamps - "Be Mine" Pink by Design
Twine - Divine Twine in Cotton Candy

Thank you so much Giselle for passing on this award to me!  Part of this award means that I have to share 8 things about myself...so in no random order, here they are:

2)  I met my husband when I was 22 years old. We've been together a total of 5 years now. We're still attached at the hip.
3)  My mom is my best friend.  She was just diagnosed with breast cancer a couple of weeks ago on January 20. She's been doing great ever since.
4) I have a huge Italian family and I love it!
5) I love spending a Saturday night cuddled up by the fire and watching a movie with some yummy late night snacks!
6) I have a serious phobia of doctors.
7) I don't have any children (yet)!
8) I have 3 nieces and two nephews who I love!

Hope you enjoyed learning some new stuff about me!

AJoy said...

I am your newest follower! I really like your pretty blog.

What would I do with this cartridge? Well, I'd scrap of course! My youngest is a super star! She is always dancing, singing and running around having fun! She is the light of my eye and I would make endless pages in her album to show her personality and how much she is loved.

Thanks for sharing your projects and thanks for the opportunity.

April
I have sent April an e-mail and if I have not heard back from her by this Friday, I will choose another winner.
