Congratulations Bridal Shower Card

I can't believe how many bridal shower cards I have had to make for my mom lately!  I am considering making her a gift box full of "A Year in Cards" loaded with new baby, birthday, wedding, shower and thank you cards!
I turned to my Paper Lace cartridge. I love this cartridge so much. It's an easy way to make your cards look elegant. I just chose a simple shadow image from the Sweethearts cartridge and planned around that. I knew I wanted a black and white theme and pearls.
Most of the Paper Lace images are square, so I used my gypsy to make it a rectangle shape to fit my card size.
I love this stamp. The font is sooo beautiful!
Adding pearls to the card gives it the extra elegant touch.
I added stickels to the flower to give the simple silhouette some character.

Recipe:
Cricut Paper Lace cartridge
Cricut Sweethearts cartridge
Recollections Adhesive Pearls and ribbon pearls
Black Satin Ribbon
Tsukineko Black Chalk Ink
Stickels Frosted Lace
Hero Arts stamps
Scraps of pattern paper
Black and White cardstock
Foam Squares (to pop up the sentiment)

Happy 2 Year Wedding Anniversary

This is the card I made for my husband for our 2 year wedding anniversary. I used my Cricut Imagine machine because I was anxious to use this long-awaited cartridge - Enjoy The Seasons. Look how cute this Mr. & Mrs. Heart couple is!  The background paper is printed from this cartridge as well.

Recipe:
Cricut Imagine Enjoy The Seasons cartridge
Viva Decor Pearl Pen - Ice White
Tim Holtz Tickets
My Pink Stamper "Love-alicious" stamp set
Recollections Pearl Brad
Stickles in Vintage Photo, Red and Waterfall
Recollections Blue sparkle ribbon
Colorbox chalk ink
Foam Squares

One of my new favourite crafty tools to use is my Viva Decor Pearl pen. I only have one right now in ice white but after using it several times to test it out, I really like them and plan on getting a few more colours.

Thanks for looking!

Made By My Husband!

Did you read the title of this post? Yes, you read correctly! My husband is the most amazing man ever and he created this card for me for our 2 year wedding anniversary in May. After long days at work, we try to spend as much time as we can together. Which means he's chilling with me in the craft room and either helping me out, giving me feedback, or just reading magazines and books or on the laptop. But either way, we are together! He's learned quite a bit being in the craft room with me, he observes what I do and tries things out.

Here's a list of supplies he used (from what I can figure out...because he didn't really pay attention to what he used!):
Cricut Everyday Pop Up Cards cartridge
Cricut Walk In My Garden cartridge
Sizzix 3-D Flower Die
Embossing Powder
My Pink Stamper "Happiest Moments" stamp set
My Pink Stamper "Love-alicious" stamp set

As you can see from the picture above, embossed the sentiment, distressed the card and vase using Tim Holtz distress ink and he even thought to emboss the vase! Brilliant!

He busted out my Sizzix Big Shot and used my 3-D flower die.

He chalked the heart then embossed the sentiment. He loves a challenge and really wanted to use my new Cricut Everyday Pop Up Cards cartridge. I love this heart with the keyhole...supercute!

Here's the back of the pop-up heart.

My husband rocks...words can't really describe what an amazing man he is. I'm one lucky, happy girl, though!

Come back soon, you'll see the card I made him!
