We were asked to create anything we wanted, as long as we included butterfly's. I created a card that I will be sending Sandra in the mail!  Here's what I came up with:

I love this sentiment! This was my first time using A Jillian Vance Design stamps and I LOVE them! I used the Celebrate Men set.  As you can see, this set is not just for men. It is multi-functional, which I love. 

To make my card 3-Dimensional, I gently folded the wings of the butterfly. I also blinged out the butterfly with various i-Rock gems.

Christmas in July - Home Decor Wednesday!

Hello my little elves! Today is Day 3 of Christmas in July and today is all about jazzing up your home! It's Home Decor Wednesday!!!

I created this cute little Santa and nine reindeers banner to jazz up my fireplace! Can you imagine how cute this will be when my fireplace is all lit up? It's 31 degrees Celsius here in Toronto so there is no way I'm turning on my fireplace!

Below: Look at how cute my Santa Claus is! I used Marvy Uchida Liquid Applique for Santa's beard and moustache and Martha Stewart glitter to bling out his sleigh.

My banner is being held together with American Crafts premium ribbon.  My reindeers have googly eyes and stickles, for that added touch.

Rudolph, of course, had to have a shiny red nose!!!

This banner was created using the Cricut Christmas Cheer banner. Hope you liked it! Can't wait to take it out again for Christmas time!

Christmas in July - Treats and Favours Tuesday!

Hi Guys! Day 2 brings treats and favours! I decided to create a favour to handout on Christmas.  I bought a box of 6 Wilton cookie dough candy cane cutters and think people would love to receive this as a gift!

Christmas In July - Christmas Card Monday!

Welcome to the week long Christmas in July! Today is Christmas card Monday.  What I learned last year is that it is really important when creating cards in bulk for the Christmas season to stick to a simple, non-complitcated process.I used only 1 cricut cut on this pretty card and some handy little tools. Although it's simple, the detailing is enough that people will know effort was put into this card.

Below: I used a vintage christmas K&Co. paper stack and highlighted the holly with Ranger stickels to make it dimensional and pop! An easy added touch!

Cricut Songbird (pg.  61 for the scalloped frame) An upside ribbon with a pearl in the centre and of course some Tim Holtz distress ink to make the paper look aged.

I added a strip of matching cream paper and inked it up with distress ink, then used a Martha Stewart paper punch and added Christmas coloured buttons with some juke twine. I love this card!

OPERATION WRITE HOME
Supporting our nation's armed forces by sending blank handmade greeting cards to write home on, as well as cards of gratitude to encourage them.
Care packages filled with hundreds of handmade cards are sent to our contacts, restocking every 6-8 weeks, and are sent in time for the long journey back home to loved ones. Each box is packed with great care, alternating styles, colors, and cardmakers from all over the USA, creating "eye candy" for heroes who see only khaki around them. The topper on each box is a plastic bag filled with 20-30 letters from adults and children across the country, letters handed out especially to those in need of a positive word from the homefront.
Boxes are shipped through every week of the year, so join us anytime in sending your beautiful creations to help our heroes keep in touch with home!
