Sofia's Scrapbook Series: First Day of School Layout

Hello Scrappers!  Today I am sharing a First Day of School scrapbook layout. The more time I invest in scrapbooking, the more I am getting the hang of it. Although I am getting ahead of myself by creating my daughter a First Day of School page, it is the theme this week over at A Jillian Vance Design, and I know that when the time comes, I will be so grateful that it is ready to go. All I have to do is add photos and some journaling! This layout took me FOREVER to do! I did a lot of embellishing and faux stitching. Hope you enjoy, let me know what you think!

A look at the details up close:

Supplies:
Cricut Lite Recess cartridge
(schoolhouse cut at 4 1/2, crayons cut at 2, glue cut at 4, word school cut at 4)
Cricut CTMH Artiste cartridge (pg.66, Accent 4 "fit to page" feature)
Clear plastic (I use my cartridge clam shells) for the school windows to create a "faux"
glass window effect
Recollections Printed Cardstock "Back to School"
Jute Twine
Black Satin Ribbon and Yellow Ruler Ribbon
Stampin Up 1 1/4 Grosgrain Ribbon
Celebrate It 360 Chalkboard Ribbon

  1. Nadia, your layouts are wonderful. Layouts are a little more time consuming, but the results are always great. Plus scrapbooking is so much fun capturing and documenting precious moments. :)
