Sofia's Baptism ~ Invitations, Banner, Menu card, Programs and Favours
At the end of July, we celebrated our daughter's Baptism. It was a very special day for us. Here's a lengthy post that contains some of the sweet little details...
Her precious little raw silk dress:
Custom vintage headpiece for the reception:
The Invitation:
(Personal Information has been blurred out)
Invitation Supplies:
Cricut New Testament cartridge (cross feature on pg. 51 cut @ 5')
Stampin Up! cardstock in Pink Pirouette
Stampin Up! Grosgrain Ribbon in Pink Pirouette
Recollections Pearl Embellishments
Fonts used: Calibri and LainieDaySH
*Useful Tip* For the ribbon effect on the invitation, I did not run the ribbon behind the layered cardstock. I trimmed it using my Imaginisce Imagicut ribbon tool. Invest in it - it's worth it. I wasn't too good at using the lighter to seal my ribbon.
The Banner:
To make the areas where I hung the banner look neat and clean, I created two giant flowers, they were so beautiful!
Banner Supplies:
Cricut Pretty Pennants cartridge
Cricut New Testament cartridge
Cricut Storybook cartridge
Cricut Giant Flowers cartridge
Stampin Up! cardstock in Pink Pirouette
Recollections Shimmer cardstock
The Menu:
The Program (A Mini Keepsake Book):
I really wanted to create a special keepsake program of Sofia's special day. Inside I put approximately 15 photos of her professional newborn shots and in between the pictures I placed quotes about children from the bible and some prayers.
Bling Pacifier:
Sofia had to have a princess pacifier on her special day! I took a pacifier and blinged it to the nines with Swarovski Crystals using my Imaginisce I-Rock. I then attached it with white satin ribbon and adhered it with a pearl rhinestone embellishment using a hot glue gun.
A simple flower arrangement I made and spruced up by adding ribbon and a rhinestone embellishment.
For the dessert table, I made chocolate covered strawberries.
My sister and I made Hello Kitty Cake Pops :)
Old fashioned Italian cake. Not the prettiest, but I can guarantee you - it was the tastiest!
Hope you enjoyed this post! Thanks for looking - I hope that it provided you with some inspiration!

Favour's - Handmade Rosaries:
In addition to the framed photos that we provided each guest, I handmade rosaries (I used to make these during recess at school when I was a little girl - it was very sentimental for me) and placed them with a prayer card. I used a prayer that my husband and I say with Sofia each night before she goes to sleep. I placed these in a clear pillow box for a nice clean look and kept the fonts consistent as well as the cardstock.

Sofia's Scrapbook Series: First Bath Layout
Hi Scrappers! Boy oh boy, creating layouts is becoming very addicting! I'm finding such joy in scrapping now that there is a purpose. Dont get me wrong, I've always enjoyed paper crafting, but there's something about being able to create memories with these layouts that gives me comfort when I'm spending such amounts of time on them.
For this layout, I decided to focus on Sofia's first bath! Her first bath was at the hospital by one of the nurses. It was very difficult for me to get involved since I had a c-section. I was still in a great deal of pain at the time so I videotaped from my bed while my hubby watched and took photos. My mom, sister and two nieces were there too. The nurse involved my nieces which I think they loved!
Supplies:
Cricut CTMH Artiste cartridge (for the large white cloud)
Cricut Baby Steps cartridge
Cricut Imagine Enjoy the Seasons cartridge
Tulip Beads in a Bottle - Blue Pearl
Divine Twine
Thanks for visiting!

Hello Scrappers! Today I am sharing a First Day of School scrapbook layout. The more time I invest in scrapbooking, the more I am getting the hang of it. Although I am getting ahead of myself by creating my daughter a First Day of School page, it is the theme this week over at A Jillian Vance Design, and I know that when the time comes, I will be so grateful that it is ready to go. All I have to do is add photos and some journaling! This layout took me FOREVER to do! I did a lot of embellishing and faux stitching. Hope you enjoy, let me know what you think!
A look at the details up close:

Hello Friends! Hope you all are doing well. I decided that I better start putting together some scrapbook pages for Sofia to document all her important life milestones. This is my very first scrapbook page! I've decided to share all the scrapbook pages that I make her and create a series called "Sofia's Scrapbook". I've showcased a bunch of A Jillian Vance Design products on this page too. To check out more inspiration using AJVD products, click here.
Supplies:
Cricut Baby Steps cartridge (Baby cut at 5" and phrase cut at 6")
Cricut Imagine Teresa Collins Baby Boutique cartridge (for the patterned paper)
A Jillian Vance Design {die}velop Foto Frames & {die}alogue Bubbles Die Set
A Jillian Vance Design Foto Frames stamp set
A Jillian Vance Design {die}velop Baby Fotos stamp set
